5-Day Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara
Early morning departure from Nairobi. Drive through the Great Rift Valley with scenic stops. Arrive at your luxury tented camp overlooking the Mara River. After lunch and settling in, evening game drive to locate migration herds and scout crossing points.
Day 2: Full Day Migration Viewing
Full day dedicated to following the migration. Early morning position at prime crossing points. Witness the drama as thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave crocodile-infested waters. Picnic lunch by the river. Afternoon game drive focusing on predators following the herds.
Day 3: Migration Patterns & Predators
Explore different areas of the Mara to understand migration patterns. Visit various crossing points and witness different herd behaviors. Focus on the incredible predator activity that follows the migration - lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas. Optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise for aerial migration views.
Day 4: Cultural Experience & Final Game Drive
Morning visit to an authentic Maasai village to learn about traditional pastoralism and how the Maasai coexist with wildlife during migration season. Afternoon final game drive to witness more migration spectacles and capture final photos. Farewell dinner at camp with traditional entertainment.
Day 5: Final Migration Viewing & Departure
Early morning final game drive to capture last-minute migration action. Late breakfast at camp. Depart for Nairobi with lunch en route. Arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon. Transfer to airport or hotel. End of unforgettable migration safari experience.
